Call for Entries:
It’s time to retire our current logo, pictured here. With the launch of the new web site, we want a new image. The logo is not to be confused with the banner, which will be used for the foreseeable future; a logo needs a longer shelf life and will be used in many applications.

The Rules
The Eastern PA chapter would like to proudly display a new logo and you have the opportunity to create it. Quite frankly, we would like it to knock the socks off all the other chapters’ logos! Take a look at the other regions web sites to see their logos. Keep in mind the main SCBWI logo is a kite. Many chapters’ logos weave the kite into their design and we’d be happy to have a kite too, but with a difference! Something new, unexpected and exciting! The kite is not mandatory.

The logo should work in all formats and applications; ie. web, traditional print, fabric — in color and B/W. It would be helpful to have a design that works well as line art for one-color applications on promotional items too. It should include ‘SCBWI’ and ‘Eastern PA’.

The illustrator submitting the winning logo will be expected to allow full use of the logo design to SCBWI EPA indefinitely. Of course, you will retain copyright to your art and can use it for promotional purposes.

***Please submit only the color version of your logo entry saved as a JPG by July 29, 2014 to with ‘EPA logo contest’ in the subject line. *****

The winner will be notified on August 7, 2014, and the winning logo will be unveiled at the ‘Sundaes With Editors!’ event on August 17th.

This contest is open to SCBWI Eastern PA members only.

The Prize
The winning illustrator will get a free SCBWI membership renewal for one year, and your logo will be seen by millions! But wait! There’s more! You will also get free registration to the ‘Sundaes With Editors!’ event on August 17 where the logo will be shown for the first time.
