Want to meet like-minded creatives in a warm, friendly atmosphere? Live within driving distance of Lancaster? Then come to the Story Circle Schmooze on February 22, 2015!
Here’s the info!
You’re Invited To A Story Circle Schmooze!
What’s a Schmooze, you ask? Well, the word is Yiddish and means “a warm, informal social gathering.” Hosted by award-winning author, playwright, and Lancaster Children’s Laureate Sandy Asher and your very own Blog Coordinator Lindsay Bandy, this particular Schmooze will give you an opportunity to meet like-minded, writerly and artistic people from this area, make new friends, and generally have a fine time. Oh, and it’s FREE!
When: Sunday, February 22, 2015, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Tellus 360
24 East King Street,
Lancaster PA 17602
You may purchase lunch from the restaurant and any drinks you desire from the bar upstairs. Also, at 3:30, folks may once again adjourn to the restaurant/bar and talk about critique groups or anything else that comes to mind. Tellus 360 will be open until 10 p.m. Often on Sundays, there’s a pick-up band of Irish musicians playing in the restaurant/bar. Once you’re in, feel free to stay on!
What to bring: A friendly smile, an expectation of fun, paper, and a pen.
Space is limited to 25 people, and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Hope you can make it!
Contanct Lindsay Bandy at LKBandy84@yahoo.com with any questions.
Your friends,
Sandy and Lindsay
Thanks Sandy and Lindsay! Once registration is done, I wonder whether there might be an easy way to connect people to share rides. Thanks!
An excellent idea! Lindsay, can we have a post closer to time of folks looking for rides and folks willing to share? But also: Amtrak serves Lancaster, and it’d be easy enough to meet people at the station, which is only 5 minutes from Tellus360, and return them later in the day. There are taxis right outside the station as well.
Yes, we can definitely do a ride-share post in February. Thanks for the idea!
I’d love to attend, but I’d be coming from Bucks County. Would anyone like to travel with me?
Hi, Ali — We can’t promise a rideshare, but, as Lindsay says, we WILL see what we can do to get folks together. Hope this works out for you!
