Witness
__________
Brave the sharp whiteness
Muffle the cold by folding
your warmth within it
Without a sound
Scuff the crystal carpet
Soften the biting air with
puffs of white-hot breath
Then feel the thrum
of your blood
as you trace
the tracks of those who came before
the sky-branch-scape of white upon black
the just-by-chance bright and falling star
as they melt
their once and forever paths
across your heart.

BEAUtiful! Thanks so much for sharing, Lynn!
Lovely. Thank you.
Thanks to both of you.
