Kandice Can Walk Like a Crab

Kathy Spall studied art and design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and has worked as a fashion designer. She has also taught PE at a preschool and ballet, tap, and acrobatics at a dance studio. Currently she is teaching gymnastics at her local Y. Now Kathy is combining her love of art and children by writing and illustrating picture books. She is working on a book that teaches movement skills and encourages children to join in the fun. Kathy lives with her husband, Walter, and their dog, Zoey, in eastern Pennsylvania. She has two grown children and a granddaughter, Kandice, who is the inspiration for her book.
