Announcing the Eastern PA SCBWI Banner Contest for Illustrators
Eastern PA SCBWI is updating our region’s web page and we need a new banner. The banner will grace the top of our region’s SCBWI page.
We’re inviting all current SCBWI Eastern PA members to submit their design for a banner to represent our chapter. The one identity standard for SCBWI is that all chapter logos should include a representation of a kite. The kite is not required for the banner, but you can include one if you want. See below for details about what you need to submit.
Your banner design will be displayed during the illustrator showcase at the annual Pocono Retreat, April 17-19. Send your file to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 10. Please be sure to include your name and contact information in the same electronic file as the illustration (so we can keep track of who created each design). Save your file as a jpg, titled as follows: Lastname_epabanner.jpg. The designs will be anonymously displayed at the Pocono Retreat. The Regional Team will make the final judgement by the end of April. Before judging we’ll eliminate the artist’s name so that the judging will be anonymous. The selected banner will be displayed on our SCBWI regional page for the Spring/Summer seasons.
We hope to change our banner twice a year—Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter—so if you want to think “Spring/Summer” for this one, your image can celebrate those seasons. The selected banner will be posted on our regional SCBWI website at the beginning of May. Then watch for the next opportunity for a Fall/Winter theme.
Banner dimensions: 980 x 200 pixels (it’s important that the entire image be legible when reproduced for these pixel counts)
For web purposes, the banner can be full color in RGB.
If you have any questions, please contact Berrie at email@example.com.
